We have been busy at work with our space theme. We used paper maiche to create our own solar system which is on display in the classroom. For engineering week this year, our task was to create a town of the future, keeping in mind biodiversity, energy, transport and food. With this in mind we gathered as much recycled materials to construct our towns, planned and sketched our ideas and then set off to work. It took a few days to get our towns completed but what wonderful creations and ideas were made. We had windmills, hydropowered systems, gardens, electric cars, solar panels on houses, recycling centres and much much more. We definately have some budding engineers amongst us....
When studying the country of Italy, we created some lovely pieces of art to enhance our understanding of Italy, its buildings and landmarks and festivals..
To celebrate St Patricks weekend we got our dancing shoes on and had a little ceili to celebrate. We also wore our green.. Lots of fun was had.
Many thanks to everyone who took part in world book day. Well done to Jessie, Ella and Amelia who won prizes in our class..
