The Be Active Afterschool programme will begin Monday the 1st of October at 3pm in Ballintogher Hall. Children from 1st, 2nd and 3rd class who have signed up to the programme will be brought to the hall at 3pm. Parents are asked to collect the children from the hall at 4pm. This programme will run for 6 weeks excluding Monday the 29th of October due to the Midterm Break and Monday the 12th November due to Parent Teacher Meetings. This means the programme will end on Monday the 19th of November. We are looking forward to this fun action packed parent lead programme and hugely thank the parents who have given their time so that this event is available to the children. |
Here is our Family trees which we designed and displayed in class. It was lovely to hear about siblings, immediate family members and extended family members and even the pets!!
![]() Súgradh le Chéile will take place tomorrow morning in Ballintogher Hall for parents and children from Junior Infants - 3rd class from 10am - 11am. Parents are asked to collect their child/children before 10 and return them to the school after the workshop. Water and fruit will be provided. Lots of fun guaranteed. Well done to our wonderful senior students who represented the school in the Supervalu Athletics Fest in Sligo today. Huge thanks also to Kitty for her continued support and encouragement in coaching the teams.
We had the pleasure of welcoming back Fr Vincent to our school today. We assembled in Ms Kearins room and all classes performed songs, and recited poems dedicated to Fr Vincent. While it was a sad occasion for us all, it also allowed us to thank Fr Vincent for the wonderful memories he has given us over his years in this parish. Thank you again Fr Vincent and we wish you every success in your new parish in Longford.

History is about stories of people from the past. History reminds us of the changes that take place over time. It is all around us and everyone has a story to tell. With this in mind we became historians today and spoke about our own lives. We made beautiful family boxes to help us tell our stories to others. We created timelines from the photos we brought in and examined artifacts that our parents had saved from when we were little babies. We noticed and discussed the changes with each other. Below is a photo story of the beautiful boxes we made. We hope you enjoy them as much as we did.
