Many thanks the Parents Association who fund raised and organised, Jeremy Pagden to spend the day with us discussing cyber bullying and internet safety in general. It definitely made us think about our safety online.
While listening to Beethoven's 5th Symphony in music today, we responded to it by drawing lines to the beat and rhythm of the music. Following discussion of the colours the music represented we added colour to the crotchet image also. Everyone had various interpretations of the piece of music which was lovely to see..Here we are listening carefully while drawing
20180427_114345[1] from Annette Mc Hugh on Vimeo. In the glorious April sunshine, St. Teresa's N.S. were crowned County Camogie Champions for 2018! In what was a wonderful day of sport, skill, sportsmanship and enthusiasm, our girls team lifted the trophy to add the outdoor Camogie title to the Indoor Camogie title which they won earlier this year. It was a truly amazing day and thoroughly enjoyed by everyone. Many thanks to John Hughes and the Geevagh club for hosting the event and a big congratulations also to Kitty for her continued coaching and mentoring. Great work girls, we are so very proud of every one of you!
We had a wonderful fashion show in our class today as Gaeilge. I think we have some budding models among us!
Today we put our "maths eyes" on and headed outside to complete a maths trail around our school. We measured, spotted shapes both 2D and 3D, lines and angles, etc.
Many thanks to Ms. Wynne and the Green School Committee for organizing Ingrid, from the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland to come and visit our classroom today, to discuss the many ways that energy is created around us. She showed us a very informative power point which gave us ways in which we can save energy in our homes. She always showed us many cool science experiments using items we can find at home. They are now on display in our classroom.
