![]() 3rd - 6th class will have Gaelic afterschool training on Monday the 15th of May in St Michaels pitch from 3-4pm. All students are asked to bring football gear please.
Today as the sun shone, we went on a trail of our local village. In groups we took notes of areas of interest. There were 6 stops on our trail. We began at the John Egan Monument and carried on to St Therese Church, Kingsfort House and The Old Prodestant Church. Taking the turn for Sligo at Morans Pub we then turned left and followed the Nature Trail. This allowed us to explore and investigate Hedgerow Habitats. We picked flowers and took note of mini beasts and birds on the trail. Returning from the trail we finished at the local Recycling Centre before returning to school. We learned many things about our local area that we hadn't known before.
The garden is looking wonderful these days. However due to the gorgeous weather the flowers and vegetables need lots of water. With Kittys assistance we got our buckets and watering cans and watered the garden. I think you'll agree we did a really great job!!
