This month our artwork has been inspired by the work of French Artist Claude Monet. Oscar-Claude Monet (1840-1926) is a famous French painter and one of the founders of the Impressionism. As he enjoyed painting outdoors we went outside to take in the view from our school of the Ox mountain and surrounding area. We sketched first and on returning to the classroom we painted our sketch. For more information on the life and workd of this artist follow www.ducksters.com/biography/artists/claude_monet.php. Today 1st class and Kitty took to the school garden to plant some potatoes. They had a great time and didn't mind getting their hands dirty... Well done everyone.
Recently, we have been studying about France. We researched France and compiled a report based on France. For more information follow kids.nationalgeographic.com/explore/countries/france/#france-eiffel-tower.jpg. We also learned some basic phrases in French.
