Today we went back in time to the Stone Age and pretended we were living in Ireland during the Stone Age period. A chief of a tribe had died and a great tomb had to be built. We decided to build a passage tomb and take our inspiration from one of Ireland's most impressive passage tombs - Newgrange. Newgrange is a Stone Age (Neolithic) monument in the Boyne Valley, County Meath, it is the jewel in the crown of Ireland's Ancient East. Some of the stones in Passage tombs were decorated with spirals, curved and linear zig zag lines etc. We added this art work using chalk pastels. Comments are closed.
