This morning, looking very "spooktacular" with our Halloween costumes, we headed into Sligo Abbey for a lovely tour. Brenda our tour guide brought us around the Abbey highlighting areas of interest to us. She showed us where the monks would pray, sleep and eat. She told us about the underground tunnels which were used for protection purposes. The Abbey has many bats, however we didn't see this as they are nocturnal animals and only appear at night. Lots of fun and learning took place. Comments are closed.
