In History, we looked at the story of Helen Keller and how she overcame many challenges to become a famous activist, author and lecturer. We re-enacted the way Helen learned how to recognize words from her teacher Anne Sullivan. In pairs one student closed their eyes and the other wrote on their hand trying to work out the word. We realized how lucky we are to have our eye sight. We learned also that Helen used Braille (an alphabet for the blind) which was discovered by Louis Braille. Comments are closed.
